Introducing the Housing Path Finder Tool

Finding the path to reach your housing goals can feel overwhelming, but Habitat for

Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County is here to help. Our new Housing Path

Finder makes it easier to find the services that fit your goals. All you have to do is

answer a few quick questions to get matched with resources for housing readiness,

financial security, and home repair.

We have found that many people who might be good candidates for our services

disqualify themselves, assuming Habitat Orlando & Osceola wouldn’t be for them.

The Housing Path Finder helps our neighbors reconsider what's possible when they

partner with us.

How it Works

In less than two minutes, you answer a few simple questions about your housing

goals. The tool then points you toward relevant Habitat Orlando & Osceola resources

and next steps, which may include:

·       Homeownership information sessions

·       Housing and financial counseling and education

·       Home repair resources

From there, you can research our programs on your own or opt in to be connected

with our team members who will guide you on their path.

Our Goal

Our goal is for the Housing Path Finder to serve as the starting point to introduce our

programs to community members who previously may not have thought Habitat

Orlando & Osceola’s programs were for them.

Many people do not realize that Habitat Orlando & Osceola offers programming for a

wide range of people and income levels. Our homeownership clients are young

singles, families, and seniors. They’re teachers, nurses, bus drivers, and mail carriers

– workers who provide the backbone of our community. We offer programs ranging

from rental counseling to free roof replacements for existing homeowners.

To better serve our community, we need to overcome the barrier of perceived

ineligibility. People encounter Habitat's brand, assume who our programs are for,

and screen themselves out before we ever have the opportunity to help. That’s

where Housing Path Finder comes in. Our goal is for people to use the tool, see

which programs may help them meet their goals, and then reconsider what's

possible by partnering with us.
