To address safety concerns along Pine Hills Road, Orange County Public Works was tasked to proceed with the redesign of Pine Hills Road from West Colonial to Bonnie Brae Circle. At the same time the NID requested the addition of a Gateway feature at the intersection of North Pine Hills Road and Silver Star Road. The Gateway feature is now 60% through the design phase and will include a low wall, wayfinding signage and a gate sign tower. It is expected to be completed in the summer of 2021. Roadway safety improvements including a new intersection mast arm and signal lights scheduled to be installed by the end of 2021.
